Confessional Friday

Oh hey Friday. I am relieved to see you, but man its the last Friday of July, where did July go? Linking up again with Leslie for a little confess sesh!

  • I confess I sometimes forego a full dinner so I can indulge in dessert. I mean nothing is better than a cookie, or cake, or ice cream after a long day. And it just tells me ok, done eating goodnight.
  • I confess I will never understand people who have wonderful loving fathers of their children, yet want to be horrible people! My nephew's mama refuses to cooperate with my brother and I in an attempt to renegotiation child support and visitation. In fact, she deliberately avoided service the other night. Two words: Grow Up!
  • I confess my BOFF is the bestest ever, like ever... She sent me an entire box of sunshine which arrived yesterday and its amazaballs! She even put in things for her puppy nieces!
  • I confess I have some of the best, most supportive people in my life! Talk about one lucky lady!
  • I confess, I thin Chloe has the cutest puppy underbite ever and is cuter when she has her summer do!
    Cheese!
  • I confess I have some big, life altering news to share... next week!
Have a wonderful weekend ya'll!

Confessional Friday

Oh Hey Friday, where did you come from? Did I also mention its 65 degrees outside? In Texas? In July?!? So let's get down to business with this little confess sesh.

I confess....

  • people read my blog who i never thought knew it existed or even cared.... strange feeling to realize this
  • I'm a nutcase. Seriously. I go from zero to crazy woman in .5 milliseconds.
  • wine helps all things
  • you never really stop caring about people who meant a lot to you
  • I have the best and most supportive friends in the entire world.
  • I have some big decisions to make right now and I don't want to, so if anyone would like to make them for me, let me know!
  • I watched the entire first 4 seasons of Downton Abbey on eh, a week and a half... problem ya think?
  • I get wrapped up and coiled in my own mind.... great thanks mind.
  • I needed something new and decided to get bangs..... what do you all think?
Happy Friday ya'll!

CONFESSIONAL FRIDAY: A DAY IN THE LIFE

Oye vey people its Friday!!! Don't you hate the full week back from a short week? makes it feel like 2 weeks, huh? Well, I am linking up with the ever lovely Leslie and sharing a day in my life!

5:00 am - Alarm goes off and I roll out of bed and into my gym clothes.

5:15 am - Arrive at gym. Workout until about 6:40 and then head into the locker room to get ready for the day.

6:55 am - Have awkward view of boobs and butts, yet talk to no one while you stand there and get ready with these people everyday.

7:30 am - Arrive at work. Unlock door, because there are only 2 people here this early and they come in the other door. I then make myself some coffee, read some blogs, check emails and anything that was left in my box after I left last night.
my desk

we do have a good coffee/tea bar and fridge stocked with water & soda and sbaxks

8:00 am - Start working on anything and everything that needs to be done. Depo prep, trial prep, motions, briefs, research, depo summaries.... ya not so exciting.
my other desk

don't mind the purple christmas tree

10:00 am - Grab a snack. Its normally an apple or a protein bar of some kind.

11:45 am - Heat up my lunch of chicken and rice or turkey and rice and head back into my office to eat while working. I do venture out to lunch with friends sometimes, but 99% of the time, its lunch in my office.

I work away the afternoon stopping for snack somewhere between 2:30 and 3:30.

5:30-6:15 pm - leave work and head home to the babies!

I take the dogs out for a quick walk since its a billion degrees here and then head in to start dinner. When I don't cook, like last night, le guy brings Chipotle after his workout. (He is a pm workout guy.... I cannot stand the crowded gym).

Watch some TV or my new obsession: Downton Abbey (I have binged watched seasons 1 & 2).

Head to bed around 9:45 pm and then do it all again! Not very interesting, but sometimes my week  includes Wednesday City Group, my monthly Happy Hours with my girlfriends, or the occasional lunch with Aunt K or KW and baby Jordan.

Confessional Friday

Hola friends! Its Friday and I am back linking up with Leslie for a little confesh sesh. So without further ado

I confess.....

I just polished off a bagel with apple cinnamon cream cheese and have no regrets. Not a one.

This week at work as has been excruciatingly slow. It just would not end.

I took a longer lunch yesterday to enjoy the USA/Germany game and found it slightly odd to celebrate a loss than was kind of a win in that we moved onto the knockout round.

This morning when the news anchor started singing the USA chant, I kinda cringed and wanted it to stop. I'm all pro USA, but I could do without an off-pitch chant at 6am.

If one more person announces they are pregnant this week, I may go off the deep end. Seriously.... blog people, law school people, people from high school, pageant people, its like I am the only person who is not pregnant that wants to be.

Tomorrow is le guy's birthday, and I already game him his gift so he could use it at work (I just cannot hold a gift in). But I have one small thing left to give him and one chocolate oreo cake to bake.

I am so excited for a short week next week. I need it.

Happy Friday ya'll!

Friday's Confessional

It's Friday and I am linking with Leslie to deal out some Friday confessions.

1. I confess I fell asleep before the loss by my Frogs last night in the elimination game of the CWS. I tried. I saw the top of the 9th and then BAM! Asleep. Opps...

2. I confess I have done major a little retail therapy in the past couple days. With the stress in my life I just needed something new and pretty and that didn't remind me of another life, weighing less, or two seasons ago. I did find some major sales at Banana Republic and cashed in some Christmas giftcards so it wasn't out the budget. I also hit the Ann Taylor 50% off clearance sale and got some great skirts and pants for work. Lastly, I took advantage of Sole Society's sale and got some cute new black shoes.

3. I confess I had a total cry sesh at the gym Monday morning. Yup, right there on the leg extension machine tears rolled down my face.

4. I confess I am in need of a vacation. My body, mind and sole are screaming for some time off to recoup and relax and recharge.

5. I confess I need to revamp my workouts. I have hit that plateau and need to mix it up. Thinking next week I either go all yoga or all barre method instead of weights, what do you think?

6. I confess I want to chop my hair off! I know I have been growing it for over a year and half, but mama just needs something new. (seems to be a reoccurring theme here, huh?)

7. I confess, I have been questioning whether or not to keep blogging. I have drifted so much from what I started this blog to be and I really don't have a focus or purpose anymore. Perhaps its a rut, or I need to start over, but maybe just a little break?

Friday Confessional {Getting to Know Me More}

Hallelujah. hear the angels sing, its Friday! I've got a busy weekend, with a baby shower for my friend K, 90th Bday party for the coolest Nannie around and gotta get some work done on the house! But, before all that, I am back linking up with the ever lovely Leslie for another round of getting to know you, confessional style!
1. What's your middle name? Marie.

2. If you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live? I would so go back to London. I lived there during my senior year of college. I did an internship at the American Church in London and fell IN.LOVE. The town, the shopping, the tube (hey who wants to drive); and the history!

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures. It comes in the form of chocolate that resides on my paralegals desk.... just 5 M&M's right?

 4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued? I work with amazing people! Seriously, blessed to call my colleagues friends. I have the best mentor attorneys who truly have an interest in making me a better lawyer, I work with two great paralegals who do just about whatever I need, my secretary, well she rocks! This woman has been here 30+ years and cranks out work like its nothing. Not to mention she is caring, sweet and always knows when you need a hug. BUT.... if I weren't I lawyer, I would either go back to working for my alma mater doing events, or open that bakery I talked about last week.

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire. (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.)
 - laptop
 - purse (the LV)
 - phone
 - kindle
 - photo album

6. Marathon running...something you'd like to pursue or just plain crazy? Yes, I want to do the Disney one!

7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pancakes!!

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd....go! our office manager about being left out of all the fun things the staff does

9. Favorite childhood toy: my pound puppy Jamie who went everywhere with me
Exhibit A

 10. Breakfast cereal of choice: Multigrain Cheerio's! mixed with some other nut-based cereal like the new Quaker one that is like their granola bars!

Confessional {Getting to Know You} Friday

It's Friday ya'll and this week, instead of dishing out our confessions, we're playing a little game of getting to know you. So, link up with the ever lovely Leslie from A Blonde Ambition and get to know your neighbors, err bloggers!
1. Your name

hmmm, I am somewhat anonymous on here,  but a lot of you now "know" me, so Hi, my name is Lynn.

2. Where you're from

I was born in The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the small town of Clarion.

Or, if you are more familiar with PA

3. What do you do with your days?

I would love to say I am blogger, crafter, baker extraordinaire, however, I spend my days as a lawyer. I do civil defense work (mostly insurance defense, some construction and  lil smattering of landlord/tenant)

4. Tell us about your family.

I have one brother, who has a wonderful son (my nephew). Here we are!

I also have one of those maternal ladies, ya know a mom! She lives in a small town outside a well-known placed where a certain gaggle of Aggies can be found.

I also am blessed with a wonderful "adopted" family of sorts that includes V&D and my Aunt K. Not quite sure how I got so lucky to have these people in my life, but man I thank my stars everyday for them.

Oh, and I suppose if you want to know, I have a rather large consortium of aunts & uncles (my mom is the oldest of 7) and cousins, most of whom I cannot remember their names, opp sorry fam)

And.... I have these two ladies whom I refer to as my kids.

5. What are your dreams and goals?

Oh lordy, big question. This may seem silly, but I want to get married again and have kids. (yeah, if you're new around here, you can read about the Big D), I would like to make partner at my firm but secretly, I want to open a bakery/café that sells homemade food that is healthier for you. And I would like to win the lottery, pay off my house and buy a boat. No biggie.
6. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging way back in August 2011 after I graduated from law school, got married, bought a house, took the bar exam and started as a law associated. But here we are January 2014 and I am still at it. Now, its been about the Big D, starting over, buying and maintaining my house and my faith journey.

 7. Maybe tell us some random facts!

* Hmm, I am a former titleholder with the Miss Texas Scholarship Program.

* I have never been skiing
*I have been more places overseas than in the US

2005 when I lived in London
*I own two LV purses and one pair of Christian Louboutin's that I bought with my first lawyer paycheck and I never wear them for fear of ruining them.
* I could live on the beach with a book in my hand and a tan on my skin!

Hope you all enjoyed this lil rendition of Confessional Friday! Ya'll come back now!

Confessional Friday

Oh heavens this week is almost (t-minus 8 hours) over.... The first full week back is always hard, and I have found myself dead asleep at like 1pm.... So let's get some confessions going!

I confess....

1. I have taken a 20 minute power nap during my lunch every day this week.

2. I suck at keeping on a diet plan. Its the prep.... I hate it. In the mornings I am tired and have worked out and just want to get out the door, not stop, blend up a smoothie or shake... and I am starving at 6am!

3. I want to chop my lovely locks off. Yes off! I want something new, but I have  waited so long for it to grow so I'll just be ok with the 1 inch lop.

4. I have been a bit of a royal pain in the you know what as of late. With the first holidays sans-M and our anniversary I just wanted to crawl in a hole and pull it in with me. Last night I finally decided to let it go. I went trough the box of wedding and engagement photos and such last night and made a clean start. Here's to the future.

5. I want to sell my house. Its costing me a fortune and I have no desire to do things I need to do, like rake leaves, water plants, mow, fix drywall and roofs.... This is when I miss a man. But I am putting on big girl pants this weekend. Insulation is being finished today and raking leaves this weekend no matter what!

Have a fab weekend ya'll!

Confessional Friday 2014 Edition

Its a new year and time to confess a few itsy bitsy things.... I mean what better what to begin the year then cleansing the soul! Linking up with Leslie to tell you that I confess....

1. I was gifted a new chair at work from a partner who got a new one. Its so comfy! Its like butter in the form of a chair. And the best part? I can sit indian style in it (and sometimes I do this and take off my heels and just feel at home).

2. I ordered my bagel with light cream cheese and they just dolloped a huge scoop on it, and I ate every single whip of it.

3. I have been going longer and long between shampoos. Amazing what a little hairspray, teasing an and a clip can do.

4. When people speed past me I secretly hope they get stopped by the popo.

5. I am a clothes whore.... or hoarded.... or obsessed. I need to clean out my closet.... which means.... SALE! Look for some wonderful items coming to this blog next week! Some of which I have never worn, or barely worn!

6. My fingers and toes are in desperate need of a mani/pedi (hint hint mom.... mani/pedi when you get into town tomorrow?)

7. Next week, the 8th to be exact, would have been my 3rd anniversary and I am rather dreading it. I'm thinking wine and pancakes in my pj's? Can I take a personal day from work? Prayers please.

8. Sophie, my lil monkey dog, has been with my mom since Christmas Eve and I miss her like whoa... and so does Chloe, as in Chloe decided to dig under the fence and go on an adventure to find her yesterday morning. (Thank you to my friend and neighbor's husband who brought her home).

Happy 1st Friday of 2014 lovelies!

Christmas Confessions

It's Friday and well this Friday could not come quick enough. With Christmas looming, I thought I would share a few Christmas Confessions... So Don't tell Santa, but...

I confess....

  • I have not wrapped a single present (ok I threw one of le guy's into a bag)
  • I almost returned all of le guy's presents because, I, on momentary panic thought he may hate them all and they were not creative or thoughtful enough
  • I did not in fact return them after venturing out last night and seeing the lines and lack thereof creative gifts
  • I shopped for myself last night... Gap and I had it going on (hello 40% off)
  • I will be meeting le guy's family in t-minus 5 days and I am freaking out! All these what if's pop in my head and then I have scary dreams about crazy things I might do or say....
  • I sent M a Christmas card. I know, I know, but seriously first Christmas without him in 8 years, it was hard and well it was so darn cute!
  • I have eaten my weight in coconut cookies. I have somehow convinced myself they are healthy, cause duh, coconut is totally a health food.... and I mean I did use splenda and spelt flour...
  • I put up a tree and such, and have not turned on the lights in like 4 days...hey its up right?
  • I opened a Christmas card addressed to the people who used to own my house and literally laughed out loud at the picture.. I mean who puts that picture of their kids on a card? it was just so bad. (p.s. also don't tell the police I tampered with mail or the feds whoever controls that)
  • My office is open Christmas Eve (yes you heard me correctly), my family is celebrating Christmas Eve day... hmmm two Lynns? or one thing has to suffer?
  • I think putting bows & ribbons on packages is kinda a waste of time... I mean they just ripped off... though our family saves them & some of the bows and boxes have been around for going on 12+ years now
  • I am a tad jealous of everyone that has gotten engaged  shout out to Neely & A!!! Congrats!!!!
Have a wonderful week all. Get all that last minute shopping done. I am going to see the Nutcracker at Bass Hall with my girlfriends! So excited to start this tradition.

Confessional Friday

Friday.... the end of the week the beginning of the weekend.... its raining here in good ole Texas and thus its time for another confesh sesh... Linking up with the ever lovely Leslie and let's hear it

1. I confess... I have been staying up way too late due to my own selfish desire to spend a little more time doing things I love

2. I confess... I have been less than pleasant to be around this week.

3. I confess... the temp paralegal we hired texts me and emails me constantly and it kinda creeps me out... he's totally the gunner from your law school class.

4. I confess... I am headed to Georgia in 3 weeks for a little R&R and I get to see Jessica for a much-need, much-talked about BLATE! This is a me trip.

5. I confess... I have been feeling sorry for myself a lot lately and being rather envious of all those who seem to "have it all" Reality check.... no one has it all.

6. I confess... I have an empty vase on my window sill at work that has been empty for 2 months and I kinda miss the flowers that used to arrive to fill it.

7. I confess... I am scared out of my head to start Redemption Groups today. To be totally open, vulnerable and to complete strangers... kinda makes me want to run and hide.

8. I confess... I have engaged in a little too much retail therapy as of late. I am going to take Neely's approach and go on a spending hiatus.

9. I confess... I have a new development in my life and will share... soon...

10. I confess...I want to be totally swept of my feet, I'm in desperate need of romance.

11. I confess... I don't like pumpkin spice lattes... I love pumpkin & spice and lattes, but somehow all that in one place just does not do it for me... I know... draw & quarter me now.

That's it, ya'll... TGIF and Bring on the rain!

Fabulous Friday Confessionals

Yup, its Friday and time for a little fesh sesh, but first, today's Blogtember prompt:

A self-portrait:

Yeesh, I am not good at these, but if you truly want to see the epitome of me then I will share with you this lil montage I sent a friend the other day to entertain him while at work
This pretty much sums me up, silly, crazy all in the comfort of my very purple office
And now, back to this edition of Confessional Friday:

I confess....

  • I have cried in my office more than once this week out of stress and sheer frustration
  • I have the best support system of friends who have bent over backwards to help me with things in the single-gal homeowner life and I could not be more grateful
  • I still find myself almost texting or calling M to ask him how to do thing out of habit
  • I am really a tad jealous of all my friends who are pregnant, yup... still baby crazy here (I'm hoping this passes)
  • I have thought about packing Sophie up and sending her to China labeled "Meat" (she drives me crazy)
  • Some days I want to pack up my office, head home and open up a bakery
  • I totally took advantage of Banana's 40% off yesterday in a fit of work-related retail therapy
  • I am completely happy with where my life is.... yup, you heard me... I AM HAPPY!! Head over heels, let's jump out of bed and face the day with a smile happy. *yes I still have those crappy days like let's say err.. Wednesday where I want to pull my hair out due to  life
Happy Friday y'all, even though my Frogs lost last night, I can still day my team won so sun's up, gun's up Wreck 'Em Tech.

Confessional Friday

Aww Friday, so in need of this one, like way in need. I have been stressed out, overwhelmed, and flat our exhausted. To the point that my body is shutting down on me. Nails like crap, face ridic and  up all night taking trips to the bathroom (catch my drift). But, alas its Friday and time to confess. And this week the lovely Leslie has take on Guilty Pleasures... So here we go: these things top my list of guilty pleasures:

1. Peanut M&Ms - to the tune of 5 a day. Yes, one our paralegals stocks them in her office and I allow myself 5-6 a day. I should stop, but I can't. They are small, and the perfect mix of chocolate and salty peanut goodness.

2. Mani/Pedi - Yup, now that I am a homeowner I should stop, but I can't help it. That feeling of the hot stones and paraffin wax just relaxes me like none other.

3. Laying out - It just makes me feel and look good. A nice golden glow to go with my blonde hair just somehow makes me feel complete. It brightens my day, my skin and well let's face, we all look better with a tan. (I do wear a huge hat, sunnies and gobs of spf)

4. my Pups - yup, they are I admit it. I would have more money and be able to leave on a whim if I did not have them, but I saw them, wanted them and got them. Even that lil menace 2nd baby I acquired in March during the worst days of my D depression. They drive me nuts, won't pee without an audience, track in mud and dirt, but man oh man when they snuggle up to me at night, lick me when I cry, and stay by my feet while I'm sick, I just know they are my guilty little pleasure and I love them more than words.

5. Shoes - yeah, let's face it, they always fit not matter what and just make a girl feel good.

6. FroYo - cause everyone knows its just not as bad for you as ice cream and I only add strawberries which are like free calories, right? (ok and maybe some cookie dough bites) but its like free dessert calories...

Confess beauties! and TGIF! If you need me this weekend, Ill be crawling around under my house (ok  I won't, someone else will) and trying to mow and edge.... ok so perhaps I will watch someone do that as well. But I will clean and put stuff away!

Confessional Friday

Linking up with the ever lovely Leslie for this week's Confessional Friday Most Embarrassing Moment Edition.

So....I admit it was hard narrowing down my most embarrassing moment since I: 1) get embarrassed really, really easily and 2) I have experienced so many moment where I wished I could just die, right there.

But today I am taking you back to law school. Yes, those days of constant fear you will be called on to recite and have not read the case.... Where Professors scare you to death and so on and so forth. So 2L year, Wills & Trusts with my fave professor, Prof. Beyer. I am sitting in the front row (Thanks K for that seat choice and then not quite showing up on time a lot). So there I am just gchatting away while I am supposed to be taking notes, and paying attention. When all of a sudden, Jessie A. sends me the cutest little kitty picture followed by another hilarious one. See, I had been having a helacious week (month year, it was law school everything was awful). So there I sit, I receive my picture and proceed to literally LOL. Yes, I laughed out loud whilst Prof. Beyer stood two feet from me.

He stopped, looked over and politely asked "Ms. Taylor, is there something funny?" I blushed about the most amazing shade of red, pits began to drip with sweat and I think I peed my pants, just a little. "Umm no." Him "Are you looking at something that you shouldn't?" Oh Sh!t, oh Sh&t... I was totally caught but so had to wiggle my way out of this one, while everyone could clearly see that I had kittens on my screen. "Umm, no sir, just funny thing I wrote in my notes." Please leave me alone I thought.... "Ok."

I had escaped by the skin of my teeth... Jessie immediately sends apology message. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I was called out in front of the entire class of about 100 people.... I died. I wanted to crawl in a hole and pull it in after me. It was like 5 year old me just sitting there, ashamed, except I was 27.

For those law school grads you totally understand me, and well everyone should. Its professional embarrassment. I could also tell you seeing you boss at 6am while walking your dogs in your rather small pj shorts is just as embarrassing, but what makes it worse is him mentioning it to you, at work, in your office....

See, told you my life is chalk full of fun! TGIF loves, have a superb weekend, If you need me or are in the DFW area, come help me move! xoxo

Confessional Friday

Linking up with the every lovely Leslie to confess....

Confessional Friday

TGIF, as in I needed this week to end! Link up with the Lovely Leslie and confess!

I confess... this week has been extremely tough. The current state of my life is in major flux and all things can come to a close Tuesday. Tuesday... Its been heavy on my heart, soul and mind. I have struggled and wrestled with finding closure. But darn it other things keep getting in the way.

I confess... I feel hard Tuesday after lunch in my hallway and I just thing I have not recovered since.

I confess... I spent gulp $355 on puppies at the vet.

I confess... I was one scared puppy mom yesterday. I came home for lunch (after not being able to keep anything down all morning) and found my sweet Chloe had swollen eyes and snout. Well, after 15 minutes it got worse so I called the vet and they said she was experiencing anaphylactic shock and give her benadryl and come on it. Benadryl? Yeah because I stock that... So I literally ran to the store grabbed some, came back shoved in down her throat and headed to the vet. They gave her injections and then observed her. I was sent home to wait. I tried to work a little, but at 430 my sweet girl was much better. Very tired, but alive! I confess, for a moment, I thought I was going to lose her and I do not know what I would have done.

I confess... I had something awful yesterday. I could not keep anything down... from either end (ew gross I know) Needless to say I now know it takes about 30 seconds to go from my desk to the bathroom in my office. I was dehydrated, exhausted and well felt like POO (no pun intended). But it was kind of a blessing as it caused me to go home at lunch and find my baby.

I confess... I have fallen asleep at work three times this week. Seriously y'all... my body is trying to tell me something. SLEEP!

I confess... Chili going down looks much better than coming up.

I confess... I have doubted lately and struggled with accepting His plan for my life. I have prayed and prayed and asked for forgiveness ands guidance, but its very hard sometimes.  I constantly must remember the serenity prayer.

I confess... I HATE document review. It might be the worst thing a lawyer has to do. Oh and a sweet friend of mine informed me that a law associate is the like the worst rated job for how much do you hate your job... yes we ranked higher than customer service rep! And to think we paid big buck for this torture!

I confess... ambien makes me have very vivid dreams which end in me frantically looking at my phone to ensure I have not done something awful.

Whew! That felt good! let it out everyone and have a beautiful weekend.

Friday's Confessions {Blonde Style}

Yes, you heard me, the blonde is back! I know she took a hiatus to temporarily become a brunette, but alas, I just did not feel like myself and so, Blonde is back!

So, here are my confessions this week...

I confess... I missed the blonde so much, I was just not "me" without it.

I confess... I have not been able to concentrate lately at work, so I have been napping at lunch.

I confess... I was so frazzled yesterday I had to take 20 minutes and clean/organize my office.

I confess... I have been a bad puppy momma this week, poor baby has not had any mom time this week due to my hectic schedule and she looked so sad when I dropped her off at the groomer this morning.

I confess... I sometimes feel closer to my blog friends than my IRL friends.
My super cute brother and our doggies!
I confess... I am uber excited to get my new couch today and finally get the apt looking legit.

I confess... I want to steal my brother's dog,  because she is so darn sweet!

I confess... I have been engaging in way too much retail therapy as of late. Loft quit having sales and sending me emails that goes for you Banana too!

I confess... I do not like sushi. Yeah I know. I've tried, just not for me.

I confess...  I am in desperate need of a vacation and I am plotting one soon!

I confess... I am jealous of all of those bloggers at Blissdom!

I confess... Life is pretty good right now. I am blessed with good friends, good family, good wine and God!

What do you confess this week?

Confessional Friday

Has anyone else felt like this was the longest week in the history of weeks? Cause mine would just not end and I still know I have to survive the next 8 hours! Anywho, here's to my little confessions this week:

I confess... if one more person announces a baby I may puke. NO offense I know its a momentous, wonderful occasion, but I'm a little baby-ed out!

I confess... I have a carb problem, ok more a bread problem. I mean I eat whole wheat but I love the stuff. Its not a good thing for me or my waistline.

I confess... I have been less than motivated to workout lately. Yes I go to the gym or run, but my heart just has not been in it.

I confess... I have a shopping problem. Some people emotional eat, I emotional shop. Clothes, accessories, you know it I have bought it in the last month.

I confess... I hate sushi. Yeah I know, shocked. Well, I just do not get the obsession. Its raw fish people. And rice, tons of it. I leave a meal feeling bloated and styill hungry because I have not chewed anything cooked.

I confess... I am this close ( know you cannot see my fingers showing you how close but imagine) to shipping my sweet Chloe Elaine off. Quit barking at 3am, let mommy nap from 7-8pm and please try and do your business in timely manner at 5am when its cold and I am trying to get to the gym to do the workout I loathe.

I confess... Even though I am in a workout funk, I purchased the Jillian Michael's Body revolution in hope it would refuel me and be something new. Note to self, need resistance bands, no a good realization at 5am.

I confess... I need 10am hot yoga tomorrow like nobody's business. My hips and back are killing a girl.

I confess... change is hard and scary and well its kinda consumming my life as of right now. So, say a little word to the man upstairs for me.

Have a good weekend y'all!

Confessional Friday

Ah, hello friday, and end to the longest week ever (I swear seriously)

I confess... I am still quasi-sick. Yes the sore throat that could... its just keeps on giving people! So, i finally broke down and bought some liquid Tylenol

I confess... I need to get back on the heathy eating bandwagon. I have been less than good with my diet. There has been happy hour, bread pudding, bread... yeah I know... plus stress is not helping. So, I am going to stick to it! Chicken, veggies, fish, here I come!

I confess... Life is hard. Sin is everywhere, temptation lurking at every corner. It's a constant battle to keep your life focused upwards.

I confess... I want another dog. Not that I don't love my Chloe Elaine, but I would love a larger dog to take running. Yeah Chloe poops out at like oh mile negative 1.

I confess... I need a couch.

I confess... I am a tad bored with my job. And I am convinced its making me fat. I mean I sit all day long in a chair at a desk, staring at a computer. So naturally I look forward to meals and leaving.

I confess... I need a vacation like its nobody's business. I need to get away, feel the sun on my face, have not a worry in the world.

What's on your mind this week?

Friday's Confessions

Linking up today with Leslie to confess!

I confess....

1. I hate way too much this week! A smidge here and a smidge there adds up to more than smidge around the waist!

2. I've already cheated on Lent. But back on track today, Right?

3. I need to take a blogging break. Forgive me now if I am not here everyday giving you the dish on my life, but promise to be back at some point. Meanwhile, I will be reading all of your lovely posts and keeping up with you.

4. I will miss all of you!
