4 Miles & A Hangover {Weekend Update}

This was quite the weekend. My lovely momma celebrated the Big 65th 30th birthday again! There was cake, cards, singing and togetherness! So, again happy birthday mom! Its been quite the ride for the past 30 years, but love you!!

So... Friday started with some lovely much needed napping post work. Then, well then the cluster-f of the evening ensued. What happens when you mix Lynn, gin, vodka, a guy you dated and some other people's exes in a bar? Well, me, a lil inebriated and sleeping on the lush tile of someone's bathroom floor. Late night you say? umm no, I was def done by the wee hours of... 11pm... UGHHH. I will blame this partially on the ex-fest (not that this boy was an ex, but other exes of other people were there, so its appropriately named) and partially on the crappy week I had. Between work, a check on my Faith and walking away from something I wanted so much, needless to say, I was in need of a little "letting go."

However, I rallied Saturday and decided it was would be a good idea to go for a run to sweat it out... Yes, 4 miles with a hangover was probably not a good idea and I may have died right there on the side of the street... oye vey I am not 21 anymore.
Post run
The rest of my Saturday consisted of chick-fil-a with the puppies (and ummm I really wanted it and waited 35 minutes in this line)

 Then we napped... epic nap... The girls were out like a light and so was I!

 Did I mention it was tax-free weekend in Texas? Cause I totally took advantage of that. Got some cute work things and cute other things and hemorrhaged some more money at Lowe's for the house.

So Saturday night, I needed some rest time. I had a casual yummy dinner and called it a night.

Sunday, began with church early, early.... but I got to take a friend of mine to church with me and was wonderful to share my church home with her! Hope you enjoyed it Gramantha! (oh how names stick with you).

Then... family time!

My brother came over with my nephew and we took Mom out for a birthday lunner/dunch, whatever you want to call it.  But how can you not love this face?
Love this lil peaunut

We colored

Had some corn
basically we just loved each other up! he is growing like a weed! After the family left, and the puppy girls (yes I am puppy girl less for entire week) I got in some much needed R &R and some work. Watched some Breaking Bad and then hit the sack. But, the pups are gone you ask? Why? Because of this.....
This floor will be installed this week in my house and well, no one needs 8 little paws around to help, so they are off to Camp Grandma. This is the last big thing I will do to the house and then hopefully my wallet will be thankful.

How was your weekend?

  3. Yay for new floors - they will be so pretty! Isn't it crazy how different life is as adults? I remember when the night wouldn't even start until 11pm or later when I was in college. And now, I consider it a pretty crazy night if I make it up that late at all, lol!!!
