It's Friday and I am linking with Leslie to deal out some Friday confessions.
1. I confess I fell asleep before the loss by my Frogs last night in the elimination game of the CWS. I tried. I saw the top of the 9th and then BAM! Asleep. Opps...
2. I confess I have done
3. I confess I had a total cry sesh at the gym Monday morning. Yup, right there on the leg extension machine tears rolled down my face.
4. I confess I am in need of a vacation. My body, mind and sole are screaming for some time off to recoup and relax and recharge.
5. I confess I need to revamp my workouts. I have hit that plateau and need to mix it up. Thinking next week I either go all yoga or all barre method instead of weights, what do you think?
6. I confess I want to chop my hair off! I know I have been growing it for over a year and half, but mama just needs something new. (seems to be a reoccurring theme here, huh?)
7. I confess, I have been questioning whether or not to keep blogging. I have drifted so much from what I started this blog to be and I really don't have a focus or purpose anymore. Perhaps its a rut, or I need to start over, but maybe just a little break?
Wah face regarding the frogs. I fell asleep too, but I guess that's for the best...
ReplyDeleteRetail therapy is the best therapy :). I've cried at the gym too, it's totally okay lady. I hope you are feeling better though.
I think you should totally mix in some yoga with the weights, but don't totally leave the weights. I've heard barre is amazing, but it's purdy pricy. Let me know if you try it out though.
DON'T STOP...BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGING [sung like the journey song, haha]. Totally take a break if you need, but I adore your blog and think it's the perfect combination of true life, dreams, faith and fun. xoxo
Im glad you got a little retail therapy--it's amazing how awesome that can make you feel. A few new pieces that make you feel great!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better overall. We should plan a trip somewhere. I'd say a vineyard or two might have our names ALLLLLL over it haha
I don't think you should stop blogging, unless you really feel like you want to. But I'd guess you're just in a rut right now. Take a break and see how you feel, but I'd love for you to keep blogging!
Lynn I am so with you on revamping the workouts, I have been on the same place for a couple of weeks. What happened to make you cry on the leg machine?
ReplyDeletePS: Yesterday I started reading your back story to your Fearless story and I cannot believe that about your father.
Love you girl
Yoga it up, girl! If you mix in some yoga with your weights, I think you'll find a really good balance and keep yourself from the dreaded plateau. I've heard good things about barre classes, but like P!nky, also know that they are very expensive, so haven't tried them.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely hate for you to quit blogging, but you have to do what's best for you. Gosh, I would miss you so much. I have gone through some times lately where I've felt the same way, and wondered if I wanted to keep going - I think we all face that feeling from time to time. Especially when life gets busy and it's hard to find time or inspiration for the blog. That's been my problem as of late - just not sure what to write about anymore. I have so much going on in my personal life, and can't share all of it openly, so it's hard to find that balance. Maybe you just need a good break? If so, take it! We will all be here for you when you get back if that's what you decide to do! Wish we could all go on a much needed girls trip!
I need a new work out too, i feel like I am at a stand still- i think food just need to stop being so good.
ReplyDeleteif your body and mind need a vaca yoga might be the best choice!
ReplyDeleteI second (fourth?) the yoga, barre is great if you can pay the $, but depending on what you're looking for there are so many different types of yoga to fit your needs.
ReplyDeleteAlso, CHOP THAT HAIR if you want (after thinking about any major events coming up and how you'd want to look)! I'm all about making major coif changes (if you hate it, you can always re-style it plus it grows back). However if you're close to having enough to donate I'd say stick it out a bit longer and then chop it, it's such a simple, effortless, and appreciated gift you can give someone.
