Its a new year and time to confess a few itsy bitsy things.... I mean what better what to begin the year then cleansing the soul! Linking up with Leslie to tell you that I confess....
1. I was gifted a new chair at work from a partner who got a new one. Its so comfy! Its like butter in the form of a chair. And the best part? I can sit indian style in it (and sometimes I do this and take off my heels and just feel at home).
2. I ordered my bagel with light cream cheese and they just dolloped a huge scoop on it, and I ate every single whip of it.
3. I have been going longer and long between shampoos. Amazing what a little hairspray, teasing an and a clip can do.
4. When people speed past me I secretly hope they get stopped by the popo.
5. I am a clothes whore.... or hoarded.... or obsessed. I need to clean out my closet.... which means.... SALE! Look for some wonderful items coming to this blog next week! Some of which I have never worn, or barely worn!
6. My fingers and toes are in desperate need of a mani/pedi (hint hint mom.... mani/pedi when you get into town tomorrow?)
7. Next week, the 8th to be exact, would have been my 3rd anniversary and I am rather dreading it. I'm thinking wine and pancakes in my pj's? Can I take a personal day from work? Prayers please.
8. Sophie, my lil monkey dog, has been with my mom since Christmas Eve and I miss her like whoa... and so does Chloe, as in Chloe decided to dig under the fence and go on an adventure to find her yesterday morning. (Thank you to my friend and neighbor's husband who brought her home).
Happy 1st Friday of 2014 lovelies!
Wine and pancakes sounds perfect love. And honestly, if you think it will help, take the day off and go to the spa or something. Just do a you day and if you get sad, you get sad, that's completely understandable.
ReplyDeleteThat chair looks uuber amazing and I can't wait for a blog sale, love your style :)
I agree with P!nky....do what you need to do for you. But also make sure you take time to recognize the awesome things in your life, so you don't get bogged down by the ick!
ReplyDeleteYour chair looks amazingly comfy, and I would have no shame in eating all of the extra cream cheese either. (This coming from a girl who ate her weight in fondue last night lol)
Im in desperate need of a girls day with you!! Lets make this happen!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your neighbor brought Chloe back. Oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteAnd totally loving the pancakes and wine idea. Do it. If I were closer, I'd come by and eat/drink with you!:)
I suggest spending the day with Le guy so you can replace that specific day with a great one with company you enjoy. Both of you can have wine and pancakes. I just maybe wouldnt tell him until a few days later what the day meant to you and appreciate him getting you through it.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I love sitting indian style in my chairs, always. Thinking of you for the 8th, girl! <3 Wine & Pancakes sounds like the perfect remedy to me!
ReplyDeleteI've followed your blog for awhile now but never commented--probably because I'm just figuring out how :) I love your story and think it is fantastic the encouragement that your commenters leave. Thanks for inspiring me to finally get the courage to do my own blog as a resolution for 2014! Best of luck in the New Year! And I think wine and pancakes is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI used to sit indian style in my office chair, back when I worked the 9-5 life! However, my chair was not nearly as comfortable as yours looks!
ReplyDeleteGirl, go spoil yourself and get a mani/pedi! If you need to take that day off next week and sit in your pjs while eating pancakes and drinking wine all day, do it! Do whatever it is that's needed for you to get through the day! *hugs*
