The Revolving Door {aka my office}

I refer it as the Revolving Door... It's like a never ending stream of people: in and out all day long. Partner, associate, secretary, paralegal, repeat (kinda like Catholic mass, which I refer to as stand up, sit down, kneel, repeat).

My office has been a whirlwind of activity the last couple months and especially these past few weeks. I blame it on its central location in the office, I'm kinda in the middle; the purple hue; ample seating; and well I'm cool! (at least I like to think that).

So, its not wonder how I look down at the clock, see an hour has gone by and I have managed to bill exactly 0.0 hours (unless i can squeeze out a .1 or .2 for mentioning a case in the course of small talk). My days seem to have drag less and be more action-packed and stressful. I have a desk of stuff to do and seems like every time I accomplish one task another has moved in and onto the top of my list. My desk has started to look like the rainbow with all my colored folders that correlate to my calender and practice areas.

I also have discovered so much about my co-workers as of late. See, we started this weight-loss challenge at our office. It officially starts Monday, but people have been gearing up, top prize is $1200, and by gearing up, I mean bulking up. Yeah, you heard me... they are gaming the system people! Binging on cinnamon rolls, drinking fat, water-boarding.... you name it, they have done it (and shared it with me). Well I'm the leader of all this, as in I was sucked into keeping track of all of this people because apparently I'm likable and fit and won't make anyway feel bad about them self.... So, add in nutritional counselor to my list of job titles here, which also include, web girl, love advice counselor, etc...

This should be a interesting 12 weeks in my life as half the office parades in once a week to be weighed and measured... yes all in my office! So call me Grand Central Station. I foresee much more closed-door working in my future. Meanwhile, I'm taking appointments from now on, you get .5 of my time so half my price.... I kid! Happy Thursday all!

  2. What a neat thing you're doing at the office. Even though it gives you more stuff to worry about (like you needed something else on your plate haha), it is such an awesome program! Have fun!

  4. I love that your co-workers are downing the cinnamon rolls - that's hilarious! But, ugh - drinking fat? Gross! Although overseeing this won't make for any good billable time for you, hopefully it will result in a few good laughs:) Love it!
