Wednesday was weird. I mean to just see... I mean the vision was a tad blurry and at night I have some halos.... but just totes weird to open my eyes at 3am and see! Oh and did you know that the trees have actual leaves? like individual tiny leaves? Yeah very new for me.
And then we had Thanksgiving. I did brunch with V&D and their family as always at the club and indulged in waffles, French toast, shrimp, crab and avocado salad.. .lil turkey, and some dessert. Then we headed home for a nap, some candyland with D's grandkids. Then we had meal #2! Smoked turkey, potato casserole, parmesan/honey brussel sprouts (a la me!) and some rum cake.
Friday I had lunch with my brother and nephew and pretty much slept.... all day... I was missing le guy a lot (as he was with his family). I did single girl dinner at Pie 5 and hit up Sam's and Garden Ridge... yup that was my fancy Black Friday.

Sunday I worked a little in the morning and then had a fab 30th bday brunch with one of my good friends and sorority sisters! We all got together and grubbed on wonderful food from Tillman's Roadhouse here in Fort Worth. If you live around here, you should totally catch their brunch. Then le guy and I doned the house with holiday décor! After one small bout of tears and a new (skinnier) tree to fit in my tiny living room, we had this!

And that my friends is how I spent the last 4 days. Well, that and putting drops in my eyes every hour it seems and trying to workout to keep the "lb's" down. Can you believe Christmas is only 3 weeks away! EEKK! I am so not ready. Just hoping this year is much better than last. xoxo!
You're convincing me more and more to get Lasik. I would love to know what it's like to wake up and see at 3am without it meaning that I forgot to take my contacts out lol.

ReplyDeletePretty tree and pretty girl! Glad you're happy with your Lasik. Your brunch with french toast and crab sounds exactly like i would have on my plate. Rest is good and what vacation is all about. We spent some quality time with our couch as well. First year i didnt go shopping for Black Friday and i liked it! I'm glad you had LeGuy to take care of you when you had your lasik. yay!
