A case of the blahs

It's official, I have a case of the blahs... This happens mid-winter, and I know you are saying winter, what winter, you live in Texas and it was 75 yesterday. Well, duh I know, but that does not make my case of the blahs any less, well blah. I think this my case onset due to post celebration depression. Birthday is well past, the Holidays are well past, first anniversary came and went, and now its well, just plain ole February. And I know you are thinking, but Februaru is Valentine's Day. Well, duh I know that,  but come its not a real holiday. It's an over-commercialized Hallmark creation. And now you are thinking, but you are married and have a built-in Valentine... well duh, yes, but I still stand firm in my belief that V-day is nothing more than an attempt to sell candy, flowers, and jewelry. Love should be celebrated everyday.

So I sit here with a case of the blahs. My hair is that at that awkward point where it does, well, nothing I want it o. My skin is a ghostly, nasty grey, and no matter what shade of foundation I use its all wrong. Someone needs to come out with "pale/pasty" and I would be set. My face has also decided that it does not know what season its in. One day its dry as the Mohavi and then BOOM, I've got a West Texas Oil rush. Not to mention that I work in office that has a dual-personality temperature control. So as I sit here and type, I am blasting my mini heater, while at the same time wearing a skirt, well because its warm outside, but I look like one pale, casper-esque blob.

Now, I'm not complaining, per se, I'm just admitting that I know I'm slightly irritated, short-tempered, and well bummed. I'm a girl in desperate need of a good spray tan and another trip to Ulta to get the perfect shade of "blah." Until then, I'll hope that the odd yellow lights in our office will cover the oil slick on my nose, desert on my chin, and slightly too dark foundation, well everywhere. P.S. - Other than my personal blah, everything else is great! Work is good, puppy is good, hubs is grand, and house is coming along!
