Trial Tales

Some of the partners in our firm have been in trial all week. Yesterday another associate and I ventured down to the courthouse hoping to see a little action. Well, not so much action to be seen, but funny and interesting observations nonetheless.

It was nice to get out of the office and see the product of so much hard work by the lawyers in our firm. Sometimes as an associate you work on different pieces of cases and where your work fits in sometimes gets lost. It easy to not see how what you do fits into the bigger picture. Although I didn't work on this case, it was awesome to see the partners in action. To see them in this light is proof that I work with some amazing people. The ease with which they questioned witnesses, the instant recall of testimony from days before, and even just the knowledge that pops into their heads inspires me. Knowing that I get to learn from these individuals is what keeps me going on those days when I'm not sure how I fit into the grand scheme of things. ~The Illegal Blonde
